Policies & FAQ
Orders usually take 3-4 business days to create before shipping. Production time may be extended during busy times, such as the holiday season. Please see the announcement bar at the top of the website for updated production times.
Shipping time for your order will vary, depending on the shipping method selected.
Domestic Shipping Speeds (within the USA)
The shipping time will vary depending on your order. Shipping times do not include the amount of time it takes to make your order (see production time above)
Please keep in mind the shipping times listed below are estimates, and situations such as major weather events, holidays, or other such events out of our control may impact shipping and delivery dates.
First class shipping (small items only) is estimated to arrive within 3-7 business days.
Priority Mail is estimated to arrive within 2-4 business days. (This has been extended by USPS from the normal 1-3 day window, due to disruptions caused by the pandemic)
Express Mail (when available) is estimated to arrive within 1-2 business days.
International Shipping Speeds
Due to the pandemic, international shipping has been widely and severely impacted. We have seen delivery delays of international orders taking as much as 2+ months longer than usual. We are unable to guarantee international delivery times or provide any sort of estimated arrival date should you choose to place an international order, and pandemic related delays are not considered an eligible reason for a refund. Please note if your country is unable to receive shipments at all due to the pandemic (as specified to us by USPS), your order may be subject to a cancellation.
Please note- shipping times outside of the US can vary greatly depending on the destination and customs.
First class international is estimated to take between 1-6 weeks.
Priority International is estimated to take between 6-10 business days.
-My address is wrong, what do I do?
Orders ship to the address provided during checkout, and cannot be edited once your order has been submitted. Please contact me immediately if you need to cancel and re-submit an order with a different address.
If your order is returned or cannot be delivered because the address you supplied was incorrect or insufficient, I am happy to re-ship the item to a new address once I receive it back. New shipping charges will apply.
-Tracking shows delivered, but it never arrived, what do I do?
Always check any alternate delivery locations (such as a back door, or building concierge, special package mailboxes, etc) and check with other members or your household to see if anyone already received the package. It is also not uncommon for a package to be scanned as delivered a day too early, so you may consider waiting one more day to see if it arrives.
As the buyer and intended recipient of the package, speaking directly to your local post office or your mail carrier is the fastest way to get help from USPS when attempting to locate a package. Be prepared to provide the post office with your tracking number so they can better assist you.

*If your package is confirmed delivered but you believe it to be stolen, you are encouraged to file a police report. Absolutely EVO is not responsible for stolen mail.*
CUSTOM & PERSONALIZED ITEMS Personalized items and special custom orders (including stamped initials and title pages) are not eligible for return. Custom orders also include special orders / listings / invoices created just for you due to special requests for something that is not already available as an option for sale on the website.
*Regular orders from the "Build Your Own" listings are eligible for return, so long as they are not personalized with initials or a title page.*
BULK/WHOLESALE ORDERS Orders that are purchased at a wholesale/bulk discounted rate are ineligible for return/exchange except in the event of seller error or shipping damage.
ALL OTHER ITEMS Please contact me within 14 days of receiving your order to initiate a return or exchange. (After your return is approved, you must ship your item back within 30 days) Items must be returned in new condition with their original packaging, or buyer will be responsible for loss in value. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
RETURN SHIPPING Buyers are responsible for paying return shipping. Items must be returned in new condition with their original product packaging, or buyer will be responsible for loss in value. (Items received in damaged condition not receive a full refund: a re-stocking fee will apply) Please ship your returns with care, and provide us with the tracking information if possible.
DAMAGED ITEMS/PROBLEMS WITH AN ORDER In the rare event that your item arrives damaged or something else is wrong with your order, I will work with you to make it right. Please inspect your item as soon as you receive it and email me at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible if there is a problem. Please note- you may be required to send a photo of the item in order to facilitate a replacement or paid return.
What personalization characters are available for stamping on the covers?
All English alphabet characters A-Z in UPPER and lower case, as well as 1234567890 and the & sign.
Only one font and size is available.
*Dates can only be formatted with periods, not slashes or dashes. Example: 12.12.18
Can I personalize names, quotes, or custom images onto the leather cover?
Unfortunately no, images or other custom designs cannot be branded into the leather at this time.
NEED MORE CHARACTERS? Each listing already allows for the maximum amount of characters that will fit on the book, depending on its size. Due to the size of the branding stamps used, long names or quotes typically will not fit on the cover. *Custom orders, depending on size, may be able to accommodate a few additional characters.
TITLE PAGES Want to include a special message, meaningful quote or other design in your book? Title pages can be custom printed on the first page inside the book. Contact me to inquire about a custom order for pricing and details.
What kind of paper do you use?
Unless otherwise specified, all journal and sketchbooks contain a heavy-weight, 70 lb acid-free drawing paper. All lined, dotted, and graph pages are custom printed in house.
This paper holds up well (no bleed through!) with a variety of mediums I’ve tested, including:
-Regular Pens/Pencils/Colored Pencils
-Le Pen Ink Pens
-Calligraphy Inks (Including FW Acrylic, and India Ink)
-Tombow Brush Pens
-Windsor Newton Water Color Markers
-Various Calligraphy Markers/Pens( Including Pentel Fude Touch, Water Based Sharpie Calligraphy Pen, and Itoya Brand Calligraphy Marker)
*Regular Sharpies and any other type of alcohol based ink/marker are NOT recommended, as they will bleed through just about everything- including this 120 gsm paper.
*“Acid free” refers to the pH of the paper. Some papers can yellow and become brittle over time (think old newspapers). Acid free paper combats this problem, and will stay in much better condition for much longer than papers with a higher acid content. My books are meant to last a lifetime, so I now use acid free paper in all my books.*
Can you make me a custom book?
Most likely, yes! Typical customization requests are often for things like custom book sizes, page count, and even specially designed pages. Need something else? Just ask! Can you tell me more about your leather?
**Please note: not all leathers are available for all items. Most of our leathers are in the 3-3.5 oz range, unless otherwise specified. Have a question? Just ask!
-Chocolate/Golden/Black/Distressed Brown: Full grain with a naked finish. Ages and shows wear beautifully.
-White, Gray, Deep Red, Blush Pink, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Teal, Sea Green, Sky Blue, Dark Blue, Mulberry Purple: Full grain and slightly more resistant to scratches and less likely to show wear markings than most of our other leathers.
-Bison Brown: The firmest/thickest of our leathers(at about 4.5-5.5 oz) with a beautiful pull up effect (color change when manipulated) Perfect for those who prefer something a little more heavy duty. Full grain. Will show markings as handled.
-Burnt Umber: Has a slightly waxy surface with a beautiful subtle sheen.
-Cognac: The softest of all the leathers we carry. A little lighter, ranging in thickness from 2.5-3 oz. Truly luxurious.
